This
quiz is generally regarded by experts as one that only a handful of
U.S. Presidential scholars can pass. The reason that it is so difficult
to pass is that the forty-five men who have held the office of the
President of the United States of America have been deemed by many
around the world as the brightest and most eloquent statesmen that the
world has ever produced. When you compare side-by-side quotes of these
great men it is tremendously difficult to choose which great leader was
the actual author.
It
is a straightforward quiz. I give you two quotes. One is by a past
president, and one is by our newest president, the honorable Donald J.
Trump. Of the two quotes, choice A or choice B, which one was said by
the forty-fifth president, Donald J. Trump? The key is at the end the
quiz. Take your time, these sage utterances are why the world looks to
us for our leadership. Good luck!

1. A comparison of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Donald J. Trump
Is DJT the author of A or B?
Quote A: “So,
first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have
to fear is fear itself – nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which
paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance. In every dark
hour of our national life a leadership of frankness and vigor has met
with that understanding and support of the people themselves which is
essential to victory. ”
Quote B: “Happy
New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought
me and lost so badly they just don’t know what to do. Love!”
2. A comparison of Dwight D. Eisenhower and Donald J. Trump
Is DJT the author of A or B?
Quote A: “Every
gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies,
in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed,
those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not
spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the
genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. The cost of one
modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30
cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000
population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some fifty
miles of concrete pavement. We pay for a single fighter plane with a
half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new
homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people. This is, I repeat,
the best way of life to be found on the road the world has been taking.
This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of
threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron….Is there
no other way the world may live?"
Quote B: “I
will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me,
believe me – and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a
great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for
that wall. Mark my words.”
3. A comparison of Theodore Roosevelt and Donald J. Trump
Is DJT the author of A or B?
Quote A: “To
waste, to destroy, our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land
instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in
undermining in the days of our children the very prosperity which we
ought by right to hand down to them amplified and developed.”
Quote B: “I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”
4. A comparison of Harry S. Truman and Donald J. Trump
Is DJT the author of A or B?
Quote A: “Of
course, there are dangers in religious freedom and freedom of opinion.
But to deny these rights is worse than dangerous, it is absolutely fatal
to liberty. The external threat to liberty should not drive us into
suppressing liberty at home. Those who want the government to regulate
matters of the mind and spirit are like men who are so afraid of being
murdered that they commit suicide to avoid assassination.”
Quote B: “Look
at those hands, are they small hands? And, [Republican rival Marco
Rubio] referred to my hands: ‘If they’re small, something else must be
small.’ I guarantee you there’s no problem. I guarantee.”
5. A comparison of Theodore Roosevelt and Donald J. Trump
Is DJT the author of A or B?
Quote A: “In
the history of mankind many republics have risen, have flourished for a
less or greater time, and then have fallen because their citizens lost
the power of governing themselves and thereby of governing their state;
and in no way has this loss of power been so often and so clearly shown
as in the tendency to turn the government into a government primarily
for the benefit of one class instead of a government for the benefit of
the people as a whole.”
Quote B: “You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”
6. A comparison of Thomas Jefferson and Donald J. Trump
Is DJT the author of A or B?
Quote A: “The
diffusion of information and arraignment of all abuses at the bar of
the public reason; freedom of religion; freedom of the press, and
freedom of person under the protection of the habeas corpus, and trial
by juries impartially selected. These principles form the bright
constellation which has gone before us and guided our steps through an
age of revolution and reformation. The wisdom of our sages and blood of
our heroes have been devoted to their attainment. They should be the
creed of our political faith, the text of civic instruction, the
touchstone by which to try the services of those we trust; and should we
wander from them in moments of error or of alarm, let us hasten to
retrace our steps and to regain the road which alone leads to peace,
liberty, and safety.”
Quote B: “You
know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing
them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a
star they let you do it. You can do anything. … Grab them by the pussy.
You can do anything.”
7. A comparison of Woodrow Wilson and Donald J. Trump
Is DJT the author of A or B?
Quote A: “I
can imagine no greater disservice to the country than to establish a
system of censorship that would deny to the people of a free republic
like our own their indisputable right to criticize their own public
officials. While exercising the great powers of the office I hold, I
would regret in a crisis like the one through which we are now passing
to lose the benefit of patriotic and intelligent criticism.”
Quote B: “When
Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending the best. They’re not
sending you … they’re sending people that have lots of problems and
they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re
bring crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
8. A comparison of Warren G. Harding and Donald J. Trump
Is DJT the author of A or B?
Quote A: “There
is something inherently wrong, something out of accord with the ideals
of representative democracy, when one portion of our citizenship turns
its activities to private gain amid defensive war while another is
fighting, sacrificing, or dying for national preservation.”
Quote B: "It’s
like in golf. A lot of people — I don’t want this to sound trivial —
but a lot of people are switching to these really long putters, very
unattractive. It’s weird. You see these great players with these really
long putters because they can’t sink three-footers anymore. And I hate
it. I am a traditionalist. I have so many fabulous friends who happen to
be gay, but I am a traditionalist.”
9. A comparison of George Washington and Donald J. Trump
Is DJT the author of A or B?
Quote A: “Religious
controversies are always productive of more acrimony and irreconcilable
hatreds than those which spring from any other cause; and I was not
without hopes that the enlightened and liberal policy of the present age
would have put an effectual stop to contentions of this kind.”
Quote B: “[John McCain’s] not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”
10. A comparison of William Henry Harrison and Donald J. Trump
Is DJT the author of A or B?
Quote A: “The only legitimate right to govern is an express grant of power from the governed.”
Quote B: “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her… wherever.”

Okay,
there you have it. If you guessed Donald J. Trump was the originator
of every one of the "Quote B" choices you would be 100% correct and
considered to be a presidential expert! Yes, I know some of you are
disappointed because you never do well on these things. But hey, these
were not easy questions... urm, or maybe, just maybe, you felt a sharp
twinge of embarrassment for our once respected nation.
This
is just the beginning of a dark chapter in our nation's history. We
have elected a huckster, a reality television star to guide our great
nation for the next four years. The fraternity of great men who have
held this prestigious office will now be joined by a man who believes
the world can be run by vague messages on Twitter, 140 character at a
time. Don't be alarmed by that loud whirring sound. It is only the
bodies of all of our dead United States Presidents spinning in their
graves. Heaven help us all.
